About The Position

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to create memorable client experiences. You acquire, manage, and retain client relationships, using financial knowledge to recommend thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and contribute to branch success.

The position is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMC’s review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information. Continued employment also requires compliance with applicable Truth in Lending Act/Dodd-Frank requirements and SAFE Act NMLS registration, including registration or an update immediately after starting and timely annual renewals and updates. Any felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants from consideration. Applicants should review application information for accuracy and consistency with any existing NMLS record.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
• Ability to create memorable client experiences.
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including tailoring product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to resolve client issues effectively and with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• SIE exam, FINRA Series 6, applicable state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses. Unlicensed applicants must obtain required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Meet Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and SAFE Act NMLS registration requirements, including registration immediately after starting and timely annual renewal and updates.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment for clients.
• Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs.
• Educate clients about and connect them to digital banking options, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
• Learn banking products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately; consult with clients and connect them with experts for specialized financial needs.
• Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
• Resolve client issues quickly and effectively while maintaining attention to detail and a consistent client experience.
• Meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
