About The Position

In a Chase branch, the Relationship Banker represents the company’s brand and culture, using banking solutions and financial technology to help clients address their financial needs. The role leads efforts to acquire, manage, and retain client relationships, offer thoughtful product and service recommendations, and contribute to branch success. The position is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act. Employment and continued employment are contingent on meeting applicable review, registration, renewal, and compliance requirements. Applicants must obtain required securities and insurance licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire if they are not already licensed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales experience in retail banking, financial services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success acquiring clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable client experiences.
- Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including tailoring product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, applicable state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses. Unlicensed applicants must obtain the required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Meet Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements, including the required background and financial-responsibility review.
- Register with or update registration in the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) after starting employment, and complete required annual renewals and updates.

Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment for clients.
- Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and by phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs.
- Educate clients about and connect them to digital banking options, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients and connect them with appropriate experts for specialized financial needs.
- Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- Obtain or update NMLS registration as required and comply with applicable SAFE Act requirements.
