About The Position

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you represent Chase’s brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to create positive client experiences. You acquire, manage, and retain client relationships, using financial knowledge to recommend thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and contribute to branch success.

The position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Continued employment is contingent on meeting applicable requirements, including NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, successful registration immediately after the start date, and timely annual renewal and required updates. Applicants are subject to a review of relevant criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other information bearing on financial responsibility, character, and fitness. A felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies an applicant from consideration.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success acquiring clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
• Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively, with attention to detail and a consistent client experience.
• Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Meet Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements; a felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants.
• NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after the start date and timely annual renewal and required updates.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment for clients.
• Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and by phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and recommend suitable products and services.
• Communicate clearly and politely, ask questions, listen, anticipate client needs, and build trust.
• Educate clients about and connect them to digital banking solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
• Learn banking products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately; consult with clients and connect them with experts for specialized financial needs.
• Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
• Meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
• Register with or update NMLS as required under the SAFE Act and complete annual renewals and required updates.
