About The Position

Responsible for providing an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships. Provides financial solutions based on consultative conversations and refers clients to other business partners for additional growth opportunities. The banker is cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed, including transactions and helping clients navigate the branch. The role handles routine client maintenance, problem resolution, and sales involving deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services. It supports individual and branch service and sales targets, advises on consumer lending options, and takes loan applications. The position also requires participation in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines, ongoing sales and product learning, and adherence to operational controls, procedures, and risk policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Two years of client sales and service experience.
Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including required registration and applicable NMLS background check; must meet ongoing regulatory requirements.
Ability to multitask under time constraints.
Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnight stays may be included.

Responsibilities

Develop sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings, training, and web-based learning.
Advise clients on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk-management policies, and stay informed about policy changes.
Engage clients courteously, conduct teller transactions as needed, greet clients, and help them navigate the branch.
