About The Position
At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience in person and by phone while supporting customers’ financial wellness. The role creates personal connections while processing transactions, identifies ways to meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries from end to end. It offers candidates with teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience an opportunity to begin a career with potential for growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates effectively, and provides personalized service while helping customers understand how to bank when, where, and how they want. The position is based at the Oak Ridge branch in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. It is full-time and incentive eligible, with overtime eligibility for hours worked over 40 per week. The stated job-range target minimum is $37,621.05; the median is $44,536.00. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, location, and performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
- Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
- Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and maintaining sustained attention to a monitor.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
- Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide a consistent, optimal customer experience on the cash line while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
- Answer customer questions about products and services, fulfill basic service requests, and provide basic problem resolution.
- Develop relationships with customers and remain informed about their relationship with the bank.
- Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
- Assist branch and team members with basic tasks that support customer problem resolution.
- Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals or needs are identified.
- Follow bank procedures and applicable laws and regulations, complete duties assigned by the Branch Manager, and help ensure sound banking practices by managing, identifying, and reporting operational risks.
- Help achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
- May make outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to explain emerging technology and assist with financial needs.
