About The Position
As a member of the Client Integration Team, this role handles all financial aspects of implementing and accurately recording medium to large sized Client Company financial information. The Reinsurance Accountant Sr. reconciles statements, registers assumed premiums, collects accounts receivable balances, participates in the month close process, and assists with the reconciliation of cash and registrations for Profit Sharing Plans. This role also completes special projects and executes ad-hoc reporting when requested.
Requirements
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent PC Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Solid basic accounting background
- Excellent organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Prioritization skills
- Understanding of Insurance accounting concepts including ceding commissions, gross and net earned and written premiums.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or an Insurance concentration
- 3+ years experience in an Accounting role
- At least 2 years experience as a Reinsurance Accountant.
