The Reimbursement Director reports directly to the VP of Finance and Revenue Cycle of CoxHealth. This role involves preparing internal documentation for Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, performing detailed reviews and analysis of 3rd party payer reimbursement, and developing impact analyses of 3rd party payer changes. The position also includes analyzing the pricing structure and making recommendations for tactical pricing adjustments, evaluating and implementing a payer contract modeling system, preparing monthly financial statement estimates for valuing the net realizable value of accounts receivable, and performing special reimbursement projects as needed. Additionally, the Reimbursement Director will oversee and develop staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 5 years’ accounting or leadership experience
  • Must be able to work effectively with staff, public and external agencies.
  • Must have the ability to take initiative and to exercise good judgment and decision-making
  • Problem solving
  • Critical thinking, conflict management, negotiation and Personnel development
  • Certified Public Accountant or a related certification

  • Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration

Responsibilities
