About The Position

This position involves complying with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and plant-specific rules. The role requires inspecting products for defects, working at a safe and efficient pace, understanding product specifications, and safely operating equipment such as knives and scissors. Compliance with departmental job hazard analysis (JHA), job safety analysis (JSA), food safety, HACCAP, and OSHA regulations is essential. The position also requires teamwork, independent work, and availability for overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company policies and procedures with regards to safety, quality, and all plant specific procedures and rules
• Inspect all product for defects; both naturally and unnaturally occurring
• Work at a safe pace necessary to maintain efficient production at all times
• Know and understand specifications/requirements for each product
• Safely work with and around knives, scissors, and other equipment
• Be familiar with and maintain compliance with all applicable departmental and facility job hazard analysis (JHA) and job safety analysis (JSA)
• Be familiar with and maintain compliance of all food safety, HACCAP, and OSHA regulations
• Work well with a team and independently
• Must be available to work overtime when necessary to meet production needs
