About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Therapy Manager for their Inpatient Rehabilitation facility in Knoxville. This role is crucial in leading rehabilitation services, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing departmental operations. The Knoxville rehabilitation hospital is a 57-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital recognized for its exceptional care by The Joint Commission, CARF, and UDS. The manager will play a key role in patient assessment, treatment planning, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and inspections.

Requirements

• Current clinical licensure in Tennessee.
• Current state licensure/certification as Physical Therapist and/or Speech Pathologist and/or Occupational Therapist.
• Current BCLS certification.
• At least one (1) year of management experience in rehabilitative medicine.

Responsibilities

• Leads rehabilitation services by overseeing patient assessment, treatment planning, scheduling, and productivity standards.
• Ensures high-quality, evidence-based therapy delivery.
• Collaborates with physicians and families.
• Maintains departmental compliance with applicable inspections and policies.
• Perform appropriate assessments on residents referred for therapy.
• Observe/evaluate treatments and recommend changes to the physician as needed.
• Develop teaching plans based on resident learning needs; involve families as appropriate and evaluate learning effectiveness.
• Assess pain that interferes with participation in rehabilitation and contact the physician for appropriate intervention.
• Oversee scheduling of treatments and maintain departmental productivity standards.
• Ensure compliance with departmental inspections and documentation requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
