About The Position

The Rehabilitation Therapist provides direct and indirect rehabilitation services to participants through individualized and group activities. The role may also provide work direction to Rehabilitation Aides. The position is with the Acacia Mental Health Rehabilitation Center, a 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility serving adults ages 18–64 with severe mental health challenges who have required placement in a state hospital or another intensive behavioral health setting. Services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team and include independent living skills development, self-sufficiency training, and transition planning for community re-entry. This is an in-person position in Redwood City, scheduled full time Sunday through Thursday on the AM shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Starting compensation is $77,755.92–$93,307.10 per year.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a social science field.
• Two years of experience working in a behavioral health field.
• For Rehabilitation Therapist II: BBS registration as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC, or Psychology Assistant; alternatively, licensure as an Occupational Therapist, Music Therapist, Dance Therapist, or Recreation Therapist.
• For Rehabilitation Therapist III: BBS licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist.
• Valid California Driver’s License and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct rehabilitation services to participants.
• Provide indirect rehabilitation services to participants.
• Deliver individualized and group activities for participants.
• May provide work direction to Rehabilitation Aides.
