About The Position

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and UW Health, is seeking a PRN Rehabilitation Technician. This role is crucial in supporting patient recovery by assisting with therapy goals and ensuring safe patient transport. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR certification (as required).
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to follow directions.
Patient transport and safe lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs).
Observation and basic documentation.
Reliability, teamwork, and time management.

Nice To Haves

6–12 months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended.
Willing to participate in on-the-job training after orientation.

Responsibilities

Follows patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
Safely transports patients to and from therapy and other activities.
Communicates clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team.
Observes and recognizes patient reactions to treatment; follows instructions accurately.
Lifts and carries equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; uses proper body mechanics.
Performs other duties as assigned.
