We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Supervisor/Occupational Therapist to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Clinical Operations, this position provides appropriate and efficient evaluations, treatments, and associated services. In addition, this position coordinates special programs through the department and provides supervision to staff required to operate those programs.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure staff compliance to standards of practice and to policy and procedure; provides training in areas of deficit.
  • Complete employee performance appraisals.
  • Perform annual competencies on employees and ensure paperwork meets "HFAP" requirements.
  • Create/maintain the work/vacation schedule for staff members.
  • Involved in the hiring process of new staff members
  • In charge of the orientation and education of staff and new employees.
  • Expected to do the maintenance of clinical equipment and education to staff of new equipment.
  • Constantly improve the communication process.
  • Function as clinical expert and role model for staff activities.
  • Participate with department and Hospital-wide Performance Improvement.
  • Expected to do intradepartmental relationship teambuilding.
  • Recognize the influence of beliefs and cultures on behaviors and accept strengths and limitations in others.
  • Expected to exhibit calm responsiveness to emergency or stressful situations.
  • Recognize situations which require notification of a supervisor.
  • Responsible for routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Provide high quality patient care daily.
  • Address clinical issues when SLT is off site.
  • Assist in conducting staff meetings/huddles.
  • Assist with onboarding and new hire training.
  • Assist in addressing patient satisfaction issues as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Understands and adheres to Loretto Hospital’s compliance standards as they appear in the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
