About The Position

Renewing Me Behavioral Health Solutions is a CARF-accredited and Maryland-licensed behavioral health organization committed to helping individuals restore balance, purpose, and wellness. Our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) provides services to children, adolescents, and adults in both community and office-based settings. We are currently seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist (PRP Program Support) to assist with program operations, staff support, and service delivery to ensure continuity of care for our consumers.

Requirements

  • Mental Health professional license ( LGSW, LGPC, LCPC or LCSW-C) ; or ----Rehabilitation Counselor certification or---- Bachelor’s prepared certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner certified by the U.S. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
  • 24/7 On-call availability for client crisis needs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience working in a PRP or behavioral health setting
  • Knowledge of Maryland PRP regulations (COMAR) preferred
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in the community
  • At least 2 years of direct care experience working with emotionally disturbed youth, adults and/or families; addictions experience is a plus
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • A self-starter with excellent client centered and organized approach to client care
  • High level of integrity, patience, compassion, and care
  • Problem solver and strong team-player
  • Professionalism in dealing with client related pressure, unpredictability, and sensitive situations
  • Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency
  • Superb organizational skills and ability to guide, direct, or influence people
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Addictions experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, and social workers to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Provide supervision for PRP workers who conduct therapeutic interventions and support to clients, adapting approaches based on progress and feedback.
  • Educate clients and their families on rehabilitation processes, coping strategies, and community resources to promote sustained recovery.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and communications to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.
  • Support PRP staff with service delivery and documentation
  • Assist with IRP review and compliance monitoring
  • Ensure monthly contact requirements are met
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (therapists, PRP staff, providers)
  • Complete progress notes within 24–48 hours
  • Ensure documentation meets COMAR and CARF standards
  • Participate in internal chart audits and supervision
