About The Position
The Rehabilitation or Therapy Aide supports an in-house therapy team serving geriatric residents. The role focuses on transporting residents to and from therapy, assisting nursing as needed, and carrying out individual or group maintenance programs designed by therapists. The aide may assist with portions of therapy delivery as permitted by state and federal guidelines and keeps records of maintenance activities and residents’ daily activities. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and pays $17.00 to $21.50 depending on certification and experience. Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant, or graduate of an accredited PT, OT, COTA, or PTA program who has not yet received state licensure.

- Genuine interest in the rehabilitation and maintenance of geriatric residents.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Ability to use a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the therapy department as a Rehabilitation Aide when required.
- Transport residents to and from the therapy department for treatment.
- Learn basic areas of therapy delivery.
- Assist with certain portions of therapy delivery as allowed by state and federal guidelines.
- Carry out individual and/or group maintenance programs initiated by specialized therapies ordered by a physician.
- Maintain individual records of maintenance activities for each resident as required.
- Record residents’ daily activities and file records as required.
- Serve as a resource for CNAs on maintenance program techniques.
- Assist and feed residents in the dining room with meals as appropriate.
- Assist nursing as needed.
