About The Position

The Rehabilitation Nursing Technician Short Term Assignment assists rehabilitation nurses with rehabilitation treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, professional and federal regulations and guidelines. The Rehabilitation Nursing Technician supports an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by helping to provide patient safety and patient-centered treatment. This is a temporary position.

Requirements

• CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
• Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds including medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients.
• Oral communication, written communication, active listening.
• Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking.
• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
• Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
• Has regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Adheres to dress code including wearing ID badge.
• Adheres to Standards of Business Conduct.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Assists rehabilitation nurses with rehabilitation treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, professional and federal regulations and guidelines.
• Requires competency in assisting with delegated rehabilitation treatment and patient care.
• Performs tasks as delegated by and supervised by rehabilitation nurses.
• Maintains open and an on-going communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Supports an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by helping to provide patient safety and patient-centered treatment.
