About The Position
For more than 30 years, Medical Alternatives, Inc. has provided specialized rehabilitation services for individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries. As a CARF-accredited organization, we are committed to delivering exceptional care while helping individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life. We are currently seeking dedicated, compassionate, and dependable Rehabilitation Care Technicians to join our growing team. No prior experience required. Paid training and certification are provided.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Michigan Driver's License with a good driving record
Nice To Haves
- CPR, First Aid, and CBIS certifications preferred but not required
- Experience in caregiving, rehabilitation services, direct support, patient care, or CNA roles is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Support daily routines and independent living skill development
- Prepare meals and assist with household tasks
- Monitor and support medication administration
- Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and outings using company vehicles
- Provide encouragement, emotional support, and positive reinforcement
- Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
