About The Position

As a Rehabilitation and Health Management Consultant, you will partner with our claims adjusters in managing short-term and long-term disability claims to facilitate their resolution and achieve rehabilitation goals. You will intervene proactively and implement rehabilitation plans aimed at promoting the insured's recovery and return to work, in close collaboration with employers, our internal partners, the insured's care team, and our network of external providers. Your contribution will be essential in supporting our insureds towards sustainable recovery and a successful return to work. You will fulfill the following functions: Conduct interviews via videoconference and, as needed, meetings with various stakeholders to determine rehabilitation potential and objectives based on company guidelines. Proactively intervene on factors maintaining disability to optimize rehabilitation strategies. Provide consulting services to insureds through tools, exercises, mobilization activities, and coaching to promote improved functionality and the resumption of an active professional life. Develop and implement rehabilitation plans in accordance with best practices and overall case strategies, and ensure their follow-up. Support claims adjusters in clarifying disability status. Oversee rehabilitation activities carried out by our external network of professionals and document files to reflect all rehabilitation actions taken. Adequately manage budgets associated with each rehabilitation plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health, counseling, human resources management, or industrial relations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation (physical and psychological health issues) with an adult clientele on sick leave.
  • Ability to travel regularly to meet clients.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools and ability to work in a digital environment.
  • Mastery of the French language, both spoken and written.
  • Advanced mastery of the English language, both spoken and written, due to the nature of tasks or interactions with colleagues, partners, clients, or English-speaking suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.
