About The Position

The Per Diem Rehabilitation Aide assists Therapists in patient treatment, prepares patients for therapy, and maintains the Therapy Department. This role involves transporting patients, managing equipment and supplies, and performing various essential departmental duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
0-1 years of relevant experience, required.

Responsibilities

Prepares patients for treatment by therapist; assists therapists during therapy.
Transports patients, independently, to and from department using stretcher or wheelchair.
Maintains equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition.
Assists professional staff in ordering supplies; orders linens and maintains linen closet in a neat and orderly condition.
Places patients in position for treatment and assists in transfers.
Assembles and places equipment and supplies for use.
Performs a variety of duties essential to the function of the department such as taking messages, entering and retrieving basic information into/from computer, performing messenger duties, etc.
Transports equipment and supplies.
Assists in workshops, as required.
