About The Position

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Rehabilitation Aide to perform routine patient-related activities under the direction of a Therapist. The role supports therapy sessions and patient preparation, helps anticipate Therapist and equipment needs, communicates with patients and Therapists, and transports patients to and from scheduled treatment sessions and group activities in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Critical thinking and adaptability.
• Service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal and written instructions.
• PC skills.
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving, and to lift patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
• No experience required.
• No travel required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an appropriate healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with treatment sessions and patient-related activities.
• Anticipate Therapist needs and assist with equipment needs.
• Ensure patients are prepared for therapy and adhere to patient-specific needs.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with patients and Therapists.
• Transport patients to and from scheduled treatment sessions and group activities in a timely manner.
