About The Position

Here at Franklin County Medical Center, we have a vision: be the premier healthcare provider and facility of choice for the community. A non-profit critical access hospital, we house 20 beds in our acute care facility and 35 beds in our nursing facility. With three operating rooms, a procedure room, and advanced technology, we provide excellent care for our surgical patients. Our recently constructed 24,000 square foot medical office provides valuable access, accommodations, and services to the community. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Rehabilitation Technician Training and Competency Program
  • Good communication skill both written and oral in English
  • Basic mathematical skills to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work cooperatively with team members and patients/clients
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist
  • Frequently able to move, push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
  • Must comply with HIPAA and patient privacy
  • Must wear PPE as situations require

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare experience or current Therapy student preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparing treatment areas and transporting and positioning patients/clients
  • Assisting with the completion of therapy treatment plans
  • Communicating with patients, families, friends, and members of the healthcare team to promote optimal benefits of rehabilitative care
  • Ensuring that needed supplies are available to Therapists and Therapist Assistants
  • Performing routine clerical tasks that support the patient care process
  • Actively participating in ways to improve the program, including providing input into the budgetary planning process, contributing to the cost-effectiveness of services, and establishing and maintaining positive relations with all clients
