About The Position

Central Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and organized part-time Rehab Technician / Rehab Aide to support its rehabilitation department. The role helps therapists provide an efficient, safe, and welcoming rehabilitation environment for residents and supports physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. The position involves teamwork in a skilled nursing healthcare setting and contributes to resident care, recovery, independence, and well-being.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and written instructions.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to resident safety, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Ability to follow directions and recognize when clinical questions should be referred to a licensed therapist.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rehabilitation environment.
• Follow infection control procedures and equipment safety and maintenance protocols.
• Assist with transporting and preparing residents and equipment as directed by licensed therapists.
• Coordinate resident scheduling needs with therapists and rehabilitation staff.
• Communicate resident needs and unusual occurrences to supervisors and therapy staff.
• Complete and submit department logs, forms, and other documentation accurately and on time.
• Help monitor rehabilitation documentation for timely completion as instructed.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining office and clinical supplies.
• Support departmental administrative tasks, including claims and appeals follow-up as directed.
• Participate in team meetings, rehabilitation training, in-services, and community programs as assigned.
• Maintain the confidentiality of resident and company information.
• Follow facility dress code, policies, and safety procedures.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and healthcare professionals.
