About The Position

Rehab Tech (Rehab Aide) - FT Western Slope Healthcare Center - Placerville, CA $25/hr Full Time - 30 hours per week Are you passionate about helping others and looking to grow your career in healthcare and rehabilitation? Western Slope Healthcare Center is seeking a motivated and dependable Rehab Tech to join our rehabilitation team and support our Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy departments. Position Summary The Rehab Tech performs a variety of non-clinical support tasks to enhance the efficiency of rehabilitation services, including equipment management, patient transport, scheduling coordination, and assisting therapy staff with treatment setup and daily operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and technical instructions
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Compassionate and professional approach to resident care

Nice To Haves

  • Previous rehab, healthcare, or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and preparation for physical, occupational, and speech therapy treatments
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols
  • Communicate routinely with supervisors and healthcare personnel as directed by therapists
  • Coordinate resident scheduling needs with therapy staff
  • Transport, transfer, and prepare patients and equipment as directed by therapists
  • Accurately complete and submit logs, reports, and other documentation
  • Report unusual occurrences promptly to therapists or supervisors
  • Assist with denials management activities to support timely claims and appeals processing
  • Monitor and order office and clinical supplies as needed
  • Attend team meetings, training programs, and in-services as directed
  • Participate in exercise and community-related programs
  • Maintain patient and company confidentiality at all times
  • Adhere to company dress code and professional standards
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals
