Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in health setting, physical therapy preferred.

Nice To Haves

• CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in physical and occupational therapy modalities and procedures in accordance with policies as outlined in department manuals.
• Demonstrates competence with use of equipment in department appropriate for aide application.
• Demonstrates responsibility for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies for outpatient department.
• Stocks linen neatly in cabinets throughout the department.
• Assists in, and/or prepares set up for treatments such as whirlpool, hot packs, cold packs, exercise, fluidotherapy, paraffin, ultrasound, electrical stimulation.
• Greets patients and assists with dressing/ undressing as needed; assists on and off equipment as directed by therapist. Always greets/ treats patients in courteous and respectful manner.
• Maintains treatment areas in clean and orderly condition.
• Removes and replaces used linen promptly.
• Works as a team member.
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to assist others as requested.
• Knows how to coordinate work. Works in an organized and efficient manner.
• Responds appropriately to changes in the work schedule
• Carries out routine clerical and receptionist duties as requested or assigned.
• Files progress notes, physician orders and correspondence, exercise programs in correct order in active charts.
• Seeks opportunities to advance skills and knowledge.
• Attends departmental inservice programs.
