About The Position
The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership while anticipating and planning patient care. The nurse is accountable for planning, directing, and providing nursing care in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, hospital policies and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. The role includes inpatient rehabilitation nursing and offers opportunities to influence patient care through collaborative relationships with a direct manager, hospital councils, and national nursing initiatives.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and plan for patient care using critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership.
- Plan, direct, and provide nursing care in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Contribute to decisions that support patient outcomes and the future of nursing through collaborative relationships and formal nursing initiatives.
