About The Position

The Rehab Director oversees therapy and rehabilitation programs for short-term and long-term elders, including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. The role supports A.G. Rhodes’ mission of providing expert and compassionate rehabilitation therapy and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and A.G. Rhodes standards.

The Rehab Director supervises and leads licensed Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy Care partners while maintaining a direct patient care caseload. Responsibilities include leading the therapy department, managing its budget, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and providing person-directed rehabilitation services to promote elders’ quality of life. This is a full-time, day-shift Department Head position at the Cobb community, with a stated schedule of 40 hours.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program.
• Current PT/PTA, OT/COTA, or SLP license in the State of Georgia.
• CPR certification.
• At least two years of management or supervisory experience in a Long-term Care or Skilled Nursing community.
• Extensive knowledge of clinical rehabilitation practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care communities.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary team of therapists and support staff.
• Experience managing schedules, resources, and budgets efficiently.
