About The Position

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides care to a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, and Pediatric Intensive Care. They also offer the most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. The system includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs, and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. This role performs managerial work providing guidance in strategic operations and planning of the section. The work involves utilizing policy and procedures, establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting section goals; coordinating and evaluating section activities; and reviewing budgets. The position works under general direction with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. The coordinator will manage Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services in the outpatient orthopedic and pediatric setting. They will also deliver safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician, planning, organizing, and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical therapy. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team is essential.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy (Master's or DPT), or Speech Therapy
  • Three (3) years job related experience to include both clinical and supervisory experience.
  • Current Licensure in the State of Florida.
