Rehab Aide | Inpatient Therapies
About The Position
The Rehab Aide performs supportive tasks within the Rehab Department to help deliver services that meet patient care needs. The role coordinates daily therapy scheduling, reviews billing and audit aspects for the therapy department, and serves as a communication and information link for physicians, patients, nursing units, clinics, the general public, and others. The position serves patients of all age groups and supports patient safety practices and Family Centered Care principles in interactions with patients, families, and coworkers. This is a full-time, onsite position scheduled for 72 hours every two weeks. The weekday shift is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; the role also works every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and rotating holidays. Starting pay begins at $18.10 per hour and increases with experience; the stated pay range is $16.69–$25.05 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math computation skills.
- Ability to learn and perform routine patient exercises, computer/data entry, and operate or set up therapy machines.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize daily.
- Knowledge of therapy activities and modalities in the assigned area.
- Ability to work independently.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior patient care experience as a nursing assistant preferred.
