About The Position

This position is a great fit for Allied Health students (PT/OT/SLP) who are looking to gain experience in a rehab setting! The Rehabilitation Aide provides safe and appropriate basic patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist. As a member of the rehabilitation team supports a safe and positive patient experience by assisting in the delivery of care and performing delegated multi-skilled basic patient care services. Provide support and assistance to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as (but not limited to): mobility, ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), movement and ambulation, and positioning. In addition, may provide support to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as therapeutic exercise programs, group exercise programs, mobility volunteer aide program, and swallowing studies.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required.
Patient care experience required.
Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
Computer literacy
CPR validation may be required within 3 months of hire depending upon work area specific requirements
Effective communication and interpersonal skills required

Nice To Haves

one or more years of hospital experience as rehab aide preferred
Experience mobilizing patients preferred
