About The Position

Syngenta's Regulatory & Stewardship Team is currently seeking a Regulatory & Stewardship Intern in Greensboro, NC. As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills. Estimated Duration: May 2027 - August 2027

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in an applicable discipline, such as agriculture, agribusiness, horticulture, chemistry, environmental science, biology, or another science discipline.
  • Must be a current undergraduate student continuing their education upon completion of the internship term (graduation date of December 2027 or later).
  • Fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a student with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • The ability to communicate information well (both written and spoken) is highly desired in this position.
  • The ability to collaborate with individuals from varied backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Research historical records to support registration of products using departmental data management and document systems.
  • Assist the Regulatory Managers in the preparation of data summaries, position papers, and basic product registration submissions or technical responses to address product registration issues.
  • Evaluate import/export of commodity crops with respect to MRLs (Maximum Residue Levels).
  • Become familiar with the basic operational aspects of a Regulatory Department and work on projects involving company systems for Data Management, Labeling, and Graphics.
  • Assist Product Stewardship with projects involving pollinators, water quality, endangered species, pesticide education, and pesticide residues in foods and water.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging digital tools, automation solutions, and AI capabilities within Syngenta to identify opportunities for enhancing Regulatory and Stewardship processes.
  • Participate in field tours, which may comprise visits to local growers, distributors, and Syngenta sites.
  • Interact and network with the broader Syngenta R&D community to obtain supporting information for projects.
  • Gain experience as a project manager.
  • Job shadow Regulatory Managers.
