About The Position

Support the Regulatory organization in activities that help ensure compliance with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) requirements. You’ll gain hands-on experience with regulatory processes, licensing documentation, inspections, and compliance activities while working alongside experienced regulatory professionals. This role provides an opportunity to learn how regulatory requirements are applied in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • Preference given to candidates in their Junior or Senior year.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must pass vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with researching regulatory and licensing documents.
  • Prepare documentation.
  • Maintain regulatory records.
  • Support NRC and DOE inspection activities.
  • Track regulatory commitments.
  • Use document control and corrective action systems to gather and manage information.
