About The Position

This is a professional position on a team of advanced processors where the employee functions independently, and as a team member, to process, evaluate and determine eligibility for multiple licensure applications. The employee in this position reports to and assists the Regulatory Supervisor. The position processes applications and supporting documents and determines eligibility for individuals applying for licensure under the Board of Nursing (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Area of Critical Need, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Dispensing, Licensed Practice Nurse, and Registered Nurse Multistate Upgrade) within expected timeframes. The role involves corresponding in writing to applicants to notify them of deficiencies and application statuses, as well as to clarify concerns, obtain additional information, and/or explain relevant statutes or applicable board rules. The employee will respond directly and in a timely manner to public inquiries on licensure status, issues, and requirements; and technical issues regarding the licensure process for assigned professions/licensure applications and recommends a resolution. This role utilizes computer database systems and multiple internet sites to research licensure history, reviews and inputs qualifying information into the licensure database, and enters and maintains accurate data and uploads documentation on licensees and the status of applications and licensure in relevant electronic databases. The employee communicates with supervisors on special licensure issues and any applicants whose credentials may warrant additional review or a personal appearance before any committee of the Board. Performs other duties as assigned by managerial staff.
