About The Position

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Regulatory Risk Officer for its Schaumburg, IL location. This role involves providing risk strategic analytics and information management across Citibank products, ensuring data quality and controls for teams and managers. The officer will communicate the implications of existing and proposed regulations to executive management and develop potential responses, including those related to specific products or macro/systemic regulations such as Basel II/III, MiFID, U.S. Fed, Treasury, FDIC, and other central banks. Responsibilities include providing regulatory risk project management support (business requirements, analysis, and testing) for regulatory solutions, performing business analysis to answer regulatory and business questions, and providing portfolio insights. The role also entails data analysis to monitor data quality and completeness, project management for Portfolio Risk Review chapters, and rationalizing End User Computing for these reviews. A key aspect is partnering with clients to understand and respond to their needs, proactively seeking feedback to drive organizational change, gathering business requirements, and coordinating approval for business requirement documents. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation identifying potential business risks and process inefficiencies and proposing effective solutions while ensuring data integrity.
  • Working with large datasets and identifying key insights, interpreting complex financial metric calculation rules, and using analytics skills to evaluate the impact of different calculation scenarios.
  • Test planning, creation and execution of test scripts and regression testing diligence including supporting documentation to enable closure of risk or project milestones.
  • Developing controls and automation across the oversight process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information presented to senior management and supporting a strong control environment.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office including Excel for metrics and data analysis, PowerPoint for presentation decks, Word for writing and editing procedural and technical documentation, and Visio for documenting process flows.
  • Implementation of analytic solutions and what-if analysis capabilities.
  • Building flexible solutions through technology configuration and facilitating implementation of business rules provided in requirements.
  • Reviewing business processes and procedures and digitizing processes through technology solutions mitigating risk.

  • Perform business analysis to respond to regulatory and business questions and provide portfolio insights.
  • Perform data analysis to monitor and track data quality and completeness of data.
  • Provide project management with various deliverables for Portfolio Risk Review chapter.
  • Involved in rationalization of End User Computing used for Portfolio Risk Reviews.
  • Partner with clients to understand and quickly respond to their needs.
  • Proactively seek client feedback to influence change throughout organization.
  • Work with business users to gather business requirements and draft and coordinate approval for business requirement documents.
