About The Position

We are currently seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support a large-scale regulatory reporting remediation initiative within one of Canada's leading financial institutions. This role is ideal for banking operations professionals with experience in regulatory reporting, payments, wire transfers, or transaction processing who are looking to further develop their expertise in compliance and financial operations. You will play a key role in reviewing complex reporting data, supporting quality assurance activities, and providing guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in banking, financial services, or banking operations.
  • Experience working with financial transactions, payments, wire transfers, or regulatory reporting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Large Cash Transaction Reports (LCTR).
  • Experience with Electronic Funds Transfer Reports (EFTR).
  • Knowledge of SWIFT and Non-SWIFT payment processing.
  • Exposure to FINTRAC regulatory reporting or AML operations.
  • Previous experience supporting quality assurance, process improvement, or operational documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Review and remediate Large Cash Transaction Reports (LCTR) and Electronic Funds Transfer Reports (EFTR).
  • Validate critical transaction information using approved banking systems and source documentation.
  • Analyze financial transactions and determine the appropriate regulatory reporting treatment.
  • Correct missing or inaccurate reporting data to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of manually created reports.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and internal banking systems to validate and update reporting information.
  • Support the development of training materials, job aids, and process documentation.
  • Provide guidance and process support to junior team members.
  • Escalate complex regulatory or operational issues in accordance with established procedures.
  • Meet productivity and quality expectations while working within structured workflows.
