About The Position

We are seeking a Temporary Consultant to support daily broker-dealer net capital calculations, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting. The role involves reviewing financial data, investigating variances, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger activity, and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and PivotTables.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet daily deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Broker-dealer regulatory reporting or net capital experience, including SEC Rule 15c3-1.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily net capital calculations, supporting schedules, and reconciliations.
• Review general ledger balances and calculate regulatory adjustments, including non-allowable assets, haircuts, and deductions.
• Investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support month-end and quarter-end regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance teams to resolve reporting issues and improve processes.
