About The Position

Wise is seeking an experienced, hands-on Regulatory Product Compliance and Risk Manager to support a rapidly expanding product in North America. Reporting to the Regulatory Product Compliance Lead, this role supports Wise’s US and Canada Regulatory Compliance program to meet regulatory obligations, effectively manage compliance risk, and scale with continued growth. The role works across teams to make high-stakes decisions, support product development, and help deliver compliance outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 2–4 years of experience in regulatory compliance, particularly implementing and enhancing controls.
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop regulatory compliance controls that account for the customer journey.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and explain them clearly to stakeholders.
• Problem-solving ability and experience using regulations and data to drive business decisions.
• Experience in cross-border payments, specifically in the US and Canadian markets.
• Strong data analytics skills and experience using analytics to develop or inform Key Risk Indicators that communicate the health of a consumer compliance program.
• Willingness to travel to Wise offices in different countries.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop new North American products and features, ensuring regulatory compliance risks are reviewed and assessed before launch.
• Support the issue management process by updating issue statuses, developing action plans for closure, and retaining artifacts that evidence closure.
• Proactively identify ways to improve controls, reduce unnecessary customer friction, and enable continued growth.
• Support the Regulatory Product Compliance Lead in executing quarterly regulatory compliance risk assessments and preparing materials for applicable boards and North America Leadership meetings.
