Regulatory Partnerships Director

PropelusBoulder, CO
$135,000 - $165,000

About The Position

Propelus simplifies workforce compliance management across healthcare. Our innovative technology and strategic partnerships empower millions of professionals, their employers, and regulators to work together, creating a connected and efficient healthcare ecosystem. As a trusted leader for over 20 years, Propelus has focused on bringing more good into the lives of the people and organizations serving healthcare. We deliver seamless compliance solutions to millions. We leverage market-leading technology and essential data to simplify complex operations, reduce risk, and champion a safer, healthier, and happier workforce. We are seeking a relationship-first professional to serve as our Regulatory Partnership Director. You will build trust with state healthcare regulatory boards and agencies to support the growth and expansion of Propelus. This role is grounded in credibility; taking the time to understand stakeholder priorities and operational challenges, and integrating that insight into the CE Broker solution, and ultimately delivering measurable value. This is a consultative partnership role, not a traditional high-volume sales position. Your work will focus on earning trust within government environments, navigate multi-year decision cycles with patience, and maintaining the discipline needed to move opportunities forward. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned state partners, guiding them on how to improve operational efficiency and strengthen compliance.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience at the State level working directly with regulatory boards, healthcare regulatory environment, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships within state agencies and/or licensing boards, with an ability to build rapport at both the operational and leadership levels.
  • Project management mindset that can build pipelines, nurture and close complex deals, and coordinate complex RFPs and contract renewals, ensuring all technical and compliance requirements are met.
  • Patient persistence: Comfortable navigating the long, often non-linear decision cycles typical of government procurement.
  • Communication skills: Strong ability to present technical solutions clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strategic Individual Contributor: Self-motivated and disciplined in managing a territory without the need for constant daily oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Relationship based sales experience with the ability to build consensus, can navigate objections and know how to push forward confidently and adaptively.
  • Account Management experience specifically in the public sector at the state level

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a consistent and proactive communication schedule with assigned state regulatory boards and agencies. Invest time to understand local missions and constraints.
  • Drive active, values-focused conversations about creating operational efficiency, new ways to modernize government, and support the regulatory boards in their core mission and supporting healthcare pros in their daily needs.
  • Translate the capabilities of our product, CE Broker, into specific outcomes tied to agency efficiency and public protection. Deliver business cases and proposals that address the immediate needs of board staff and leadership.
  • Advance opportunities using a consultative approach. Create momentum by aligning our implementation timelines with agency deadlines and strategic plans.
  • Operate with a thoughtful urgency, knowing when and how to navigate strategic opportunities to close deals in complex environments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of state licensing frameworks and Continuing Education (CE) compliance for your assigned territories and professions.
  • Maintain a healthy and accurate pipeline by proactively surfacing new opportunities within existing or prospective accounts. Leverage industry trends and new regulation requirements to identify where Propelus can solve emerging compliance gaps.
  • Partner closely with internal Product, Implementation, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless transition from contract signature to "go-live."
  • Maintain accurate visibility into opportunities via CRM (Salesforce). Bring a structure to forecasting and follow-through to ensure no stakeholder request is left unanswered.
