The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. With a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees throughout the state, the Department is leading the way to A Safer Florida through the efficient and professional execution of its core mission: the issuance of driver licenses, vehicle tags and titles, and operation of the Florida Highway Patrol. The position works closely with the Operations Services Supervisor and works independently, drafting and editing procedures and special correspondence related to motor vehicle titles and registrations, and vessel titles and registrations. The incumbent in this position is responsible for answering and responding to telephone calls that require technical knowledge and problem solving and responding to questions from the Motor Vehicle Q & A Board, posting the responses for tax collectors. The incumbent will also assist with training to implement motor vehicle and vessel title and registration laws and procedures; assist with analyzing documentation which may impact the bureau; preparing and recommending changes to special reports and projects; and drafting technical and complex correspondence.
