About The Position

Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, trading, and operation of battery energy storage assets across U.S. power markets. The company is launching its 2026 Summer Internship Program, a 10-week paid program starting June 8, 2026, open to rising college juniors and seniors interested in renewable energy. The program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience from a leading company in the battery energy storage market. This specific intern position is with the Regulatory Compliance team in Houston, TX, where the individual will work alongside talented developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (in pursuit) in Cyber Security, Engineering, Business, or related field with 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with varied interests and backgrounds
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory governance activities, including policy updates, procedure maintenance, and reviews.
  • Participate in monitoring and implementation of North American Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Reliability Standards. Develop skills in implementing security measures to protect critical infrastructure assets.
  • Learn the principles of risk assessment and risk management specific to NERC CIP in the energy industry.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts across Cybersecurity, Operational Technology (OT)/SCADA, IT Networking, Physical Security, Operations, and Change Management to validate compliance implementation.

Benefits

  • Compensation offered will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate within the range of $35/hr to $40/hr.
