About The Position

As a Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will provide global leadership, strategic ideas and apply Operations regulatory guidance to develop processes that ensure executional excellence in Regulatory programs. You will leverage experience, expertise, and process development capabilities to advance Schreiber’s Regulatory mission with Operations, customers, and suppliers. You will provide leadership and internal training and act as a representative to regulatory, trade, and professional organizations on regulatory topics. You will represent the Regulatory function in the management of critical product issues to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal company performance. You will lead the product information function to provide best of class services.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in food science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years Dairy and Quality/Regulatory, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device experience plus branded and customer branded industry experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking with proven process development and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership and influence both directly and indirectly.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage stressful situations professionally.
  • Solid research, data analysis, and summarization skills.
  • Proven ability to make independent, solid decisions.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (within and outside of the US).
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
  • Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across multiple company departments to develop internal processes that enable the achievement of the Schreiber Regulatory mission in being proactive and efficient to address current and new regulations / situations to minimize risk and potential damage to Schreiber’s reputation and relationships.
  • Provide guidance on risk / regulatory topics to the organization based on experience, research and sound decision-making skills.
  • Lead the effective implementation of processes that enable efficient response to customers and consumers concerning the release of information with a risk-based mindset. This includes leadership of the Product Information function.
  • Manage critical product related issues in conjunction with identified Operations, EQFS, sales, customer experience, and supply chain management representatives to ensure compliance with Schreiber processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively serve as a liaison between the company, industry and regulatory officials (International, Federal, State, and Local) concerning matters of regulations and / or food safety.
  • Provide perspective and recommendations to Schreiber Leadership in the development of position statements on proposed legislation or regulatory positions.
  • Establish processes, train, and provide leadership to Operations regarding the management of certification programs such as Halal and Organic.
