The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Public Management (PAP2720, Section A00) during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course examines the managerial aspects of public administration, including the role and functions of public managers in planning, decision-making, personnel management, budgeting, resource control, leadership, and technology management. It also compares public management with private management, discussing traditional public administration and the new public management, as well as contemporary issues in public management. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 173 students and is worth 3 credits. The course will be offered in person, but the mode of instruction may change due to health or other reasons.
