About The Position

The Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Business Ethics (PHI2397, Section B00) during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course will explore ethical issues in business through concepts and case studies, including corporate social responsibility, employee/employer rights and obligations, discrimination, government regulation, and globalization. The course will be taught in person on Tuesdays from 13:00 to 14:20 and Thursdays from 11:30 to 12:50. Requirements

Ph.D in Philosophy.
Experience in teaching at university level in Philosophy.
Competence in English (language of instruction).

Responsibilities

Study, by means of concepts and cases, of ethical issues in business such as: corporate social responsibility, the rights and obligations of employees and employers, the problem of discrimination, the pros and cons of government regulation of business, and the nature and effects of globalization.
Teach Business Ethics (PHI2397, Section B00) during the 2027 Winter Semester.
Ensure syllabus is subject to the approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Philosophy.
Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
