About The Position
The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course ETHICS FOR DESIGN, AI & ROB(Online) (DTO5310 Section B) during the Fall 2026 semester. This position is within the Faculty of Engineering, specifically the School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation. The course is taught in English and has an expected enrollment of 30 students. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31, and the hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025), subject to collective agreement ratification. Requirements
- PhD graduate.
- Completion of DTI 5310 or IAI 5310 or equivalent.
- Active researcher in the field of ethical artificial intelligence.
- Proficient in applied ethics and contemporary philosophy, particularly in technology ethics and its implications for AI applications.
- Experience in teaching or assisting with graduate-level courses.
- Proficiency in English.
