About The Position
The Faculty of Arts, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Elementary German II (ALG1902, Section C) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on basic German skills including conversation, reading, writing, basic grammar, and intercultural communication. It is the first part of a sequence designed to prepare students for the Goethe Institute's Certificate of German. The course is expected to have an enrollment of 35 students and carries 3 credits. The mode of instruction is in-person.
Requirements
- Master's degree in German or equivalent
- Recent experience in teaching introductory German
- Recent experience in computer-assisted language learning (CALL) or equivalent
- Familiarity with recent teaching methodologies in teaching German
- Bilingual (French and English)
