About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Cours élémentaire de chinois I / Introduction to Chinese I (CHN1901 Section C) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course is an initiation to modern Mandarin Chinese, covering phonetic symbols, basic vocabulary and grammatical structures, and an introduction to some written characters. The course will be offered in person. The hiring process will be governed by the current APTPUO collective agreements. Requirements
- Master's degree in Chinese or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching introductory Chinese.
- Bilingual (French and English).
Responsibilities
- Teach Cours élémentaire de chinois I / Introduction to Chinese I (CHN1901 Section C).
- Initiate students to modern Mandarin Chinese, including phonetic symbols, basic vocabulary, grammatical structures, and some written characters.
- Offer the course in person.
