Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of health insurance.
  • Detail Oriented and Task Driven.

Responsibilities

  • Always conducts themselves in a professional manner.
  • Maintains patient/resident/employee privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
  • Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
  • Participate as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities.
  • Serve as back up for the Hospital Receptionist as needed including vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure proper billing for services provided.
  • Prepare patient packets for scheduled appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and current patient orders.
  • Accept and process all forms of payments.
  • Uphold facility policies and procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize office supplies and workstation.
  • Completing and releasing medical records, as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and current patient images within EMR (ie. Drivers licenses, insurance cards, POA’s, etc.).
  • Greet and assist patients, family members, vendors, visitors, and employees by directing them to the appropriate department or person.
  • Deliver flowers and mail to patient rooms.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate person/department.
  • Distribute mail to appropriate FHW mailboxes.
  • Provide clerical assistance to other departments as needed and directed by Supervisor.
  • Assist other departments based on skills assessment as directed by Supervisor.
  • Maintain and balance cash box.
  • Maintain the front desk, mailroom and lobby area. Ensure all areas are well kept.
  • Maintain the All House calendars.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.
