About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE position located at Oakridge Elementary School. The Registrar performs specialized technical and analytical duties required to enroll, withdraw, and transfer students and to maintain a variety of complex student records at the elementary school level. The role involves creating a positive and welcoming experience for families and students new to APS as part of the student registration process. The Registrar operates a variety of computer applications, entering and maintaining information on each student from registration to graduation, including class assignments, schedule changes, transfer grade histories, and other student information. They are responsible for maintaining student academic records in compliance with state and federal requirements and entering, maintaining, and retrieving information from the student information system. The position also includes performing responsible administrative support tasks as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of computer technology utilizations
  • Ability to meet deadlines on time for required reporting purposes
  • Ability to accurately maintain complex data files and to prepare reports from files and records.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, support staff, students, and families.
  • Ability to perform work independently and accurately under deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of enrollment and residency procedures.
