The Registrar provides leadership and operational oversight for the Registrar's Office, ensuring effective coordination of daily services, immediate issue resolution, and direct, in-person support for students, faculty, and staff. This role involves supervising the Associate Registrar and Assistant Registrar, overseeing personnel management, and developing and managing the office budget. The Registrar is responsible for making decisions regarding policies, procedures, and operational standards to ensure equity for students, and for overseeing the integrity, maintenance, and issuance of university records. A visible campus presence is maintained to foster collaboration with academic affairs and other university stakeholders. The position also provides leadership and support for complex student records, registration, residency, graduation, and compliance issues, facilitating real-time collaboration to expedite issue resolution and ensure continuity of critical operations. Additionally, the Registrar ensures institutional compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for SEVP compliance, and acts as the primary legal liaison for international student records. Oversight of external reporting, audit requirements, and representation in state and system meetings are also key responsibilities. The role includes executive oversight for Registrar's Office systems and software environments, reviewing and approving software contracts, and providing final approval for major projects and system changes. Ancillary duties include serving on committees and performing other duties to support the mission of the Registrar's Office, the Division of Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Extended Studies, and the University.
