As a Registrar at Monadnock Community Hospital, you'll play a vital role in patient services, ensuring smooth admissions and maintaining accurate patient records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures preferred
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Training on 3pm-11pm shift, including weekends

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting patients with the registration intake process at ER registration and at the bedside in a a fast paced Emergency Dept. setting
  • Collecting and verifying patient information, demographics, and financial and insurance details
  • Obtaining authorizations for treatment
  • Ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations (HIPAA)
  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient inquiries
  • Patient pre-admission, admission and discharge functions
  • Collaborating with other departments, healthcare providers, and administrative staff in support of our patients
  • Maintaining a positive attitude while working with a diverse group of caring professionals
