Requirements

  • High School GED or equivalent combination of experience and/or education
  • Three (3) year experience in prior authorization, pre certification, insurance benefits and how they apply to hospital registration or medical office setting

Nice To Haves

  • Two years experience as Lead/Sr Registrar in an urgent care setting

Responsibilities

  • Manage all functions related to patient registration.
  • Handle registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections.
  • Ensure accurate data input and record keeping, maintaining the integrity of patient information and financial transactions.
  • Adhere to all credit card handling processes due to potential access to sensitive third-party credit card information.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and clerical skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Accurately manage complex administrative tasks to support seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Review identified accounts and resolve issues by obtaining or correcting information.
  • Document and report trends and/or learning opportunities to clinical supervisor and Registration educator utilizing approved department document.
  • Validate workman compensation registration information and correct errors as indicated to ensure accurate and timely billing of visit.
  • Validate personal pay registration information to ensure accurate billing, correct codes as indicated and provide education as needed.
  • Validate MS4 daily census registration information with Cerner reports to ensure accurate clinic statistics.
  • Enter department statistics into designated folder on the Y drive.
  • Correct errors as indicated.
  • Review MS4 error report daily and follow up as indicated.
