About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a Registrar Analyst for the UNLV University Registrar's Office. This position reports to the Assistant Registrar for Curriculum and Academic Services and performs operational functions within Curriculum Management and Degree Audit. The role involves updating student records in degree audit, encoding degree audit reports, troubleshooting errors, assisting with the undergraduate catalog, and supporting the technical review and implementation of program proposals in Acalog, MyUNLV, and uAchieve. The Registrar Analyst makes decisions on job-related matters, interacts with university colleagues and faculty, and enforces policies on registration, enrollment, and graduation. This position requires discretion, analytical observation, independent judgment, and adherence to strict confidentiality and FERPA regulations. The uAchieve report is a key tool for students to track degree progress, with an average of 500+ degree audit exceptions updated monthly. The role also involves maintaining and updating curriculum changes for the undergraduate catalog, which typically sees 300-400 approved changes per cycle. All positions in Academic Affairs contribute to the university's core mission of increasing enrollment and promoting equitable student success by addressing systemic obstacles and implementing strategic services, programs, and support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 1 - 3 years of Related Professional Experience.
  • At least two years of comparable professional experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment that requires close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Update student records in degree audit.
  • Encode degree audit reports.
  • Troubleshoot degree audit report errors.
  • Assist in the maintenance and production of the undergraduate catalog.
  • Aid in the technical review of program proposals.
  • Implement program proposals in Acalog, MyUNLV, and uAchieve.
  • Explain and enforce policies and regulations on registration/enrollment, graduation, and other academic matters.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality measures, including compliance with FERPA.
